Taking the crown of the world’s thinnest smartphone is the Vivo X3 by Chinese manufacturer BBK Electronics. This handset is just 5.75mm thick and has a 5-inch display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
Huawei Ascend P6 – 6.18mm
Huawei Ascend P6 stands second among the list of thinnest smartphones with a waistline of just 6.18mm. This phone has a 4.7-inch screen, 1.5GHz processor as well as 8MP camera and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra – 6.45mm
Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra, launched in India in May, takes the third spot in the list of slimmest smartphones with thickness measuring 6.5mm. This smartphone has a 4.65-inch screen, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 8MP snapper on the back and is powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Sony Xperia Z Ultra – 6.5mm
Currently the biggest smartphone in the world, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is 6.5mm thick, making it the fourth thinnest handset globally. It is also the biggest full HD phone, featuring a 6.4-inch display and is waterproof as well as dust resistant.
Vivo X1 – 6.55mm
Chinese manufacturer BBK Electronics launched its Vivo X1 last year, with a thin profile of just 6.55mm. Currently fifth in the list of slimmest smartphones, Vivo X1 has a 4.7-inch display, runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), 1GHz dual-core CPU and 8MP rear camera.
Oppo Finder – 6.65mm
Oppo Finder now stands sixth among the thinnest smartphones in the world, with a small footprint that is 6.65mm thick. Powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), this handset has a 4.3-inch display, 8MP shooter and 1.5GHz dual-core CPU.
Huawei Ascend P1 – 6.68mm
Huawei Ascend P1, with a 6.68mm thickness, grabs the seventh spot by a small margin of 0.03mm in this list. Huawei Ascend P1 is powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and boasts of features like 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1.5Ghz dual-core processor and 8MP camera on the back.
ZTE Grand S, Lenovo K900, Alcatel One Touch Idol X – 6.9mm
The eighth position in this list of slimmest phones is shared by ZTE Grand S, Lenovo K900 and Alcatel One Touch Idol X. All three smartphones have a 6.9mm profile.
Motorola Droid Ultra – 7.18mm
The recently unveiled Motorola Droid Ultra takes the ninth spot in this list. Available only on Verizon network, The Droid Ultra is just 7.18mm thick and has a 5-inch screen, 10MP camera and a Kevlar back.
Apple iPhone 5S, iPhone 5 – 7.6mm
Apple’s iPhone 5S and iPhone round up the list of slimmest smartphones with 7.6mm thickness. They both run on iOS 7 and have a 4-inch screen and 8MP rear camera. The newer iPhone also has a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and faster processor.
