After announcing its plans to release WebKit-based browser last month, Opera has now released the beta version of the browser in Google Play. Opera claims that the new browser will be faster than previous version thanks to the switch to WebKit rendering engine, which is also used by Chrome and Android browser. Opera earlier used its own Presto rendering engine.
“Opera’s WebKit-based rendering engine offers a whole new level of site compatibility. The native UI also delivers a superior user experience on your smartphone,” Opera noted.
