Nokia Lumia 620 officially launched in India at Rs 14,999
Our favourite Windows Phone 8 device, the Nokia Lumia 620, has finally found its way to India. The entry-level Lumia 620 has been officially launched in India and hits the market at a competitive price of Rs14,999 (approx $275 USD, £185 GBP). Launched in December 2012, it becomes the cheapest Windows Phone 8 device in the country.

The Lumia 620 is often referred to as an “entry-level” device because it has lesser specifications than its bigger siblings, but it punches way above it’s weight. The 3.8-inch ClearBlack display gives it the same sunlight readability enhancements as the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820. The device also brings NFC, a 1GHz dual core Snapdragon chip and support for 64 GB removable MicroSD cards. Other most notable features are Windows Phone 8 OS, 512MB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, a 5 mega-pixel rear camera and a front facing one, Nokia Maps, Nokia Music, Nokia Mix Radio, City Lens and Nokia Drive.

The Lumia 620 also takes advantage of a new ‘dual-shot’ technique to create a variety of interesting new colours and textures. Dual Shot involves casting two layers of polycarbonate, a single base layer and a second colour, in a transparent or translucent layer, to produce depth effects and secondary colour blends. For example, yellow and cyan are combined to produce an exciting new lime green, our own favourite. What’s more, since the Nokia Lumia 620 uses exchangeable shells, you can change the colour as often as you change your mood with seven shells to choose from.

The handset is available at any Nokia India Store. Available in colours ranging from white, black, cyan, green, magenta and yellow, the Nokia smartphone is delivered within 7 days of pre-order on the site.
