Targeting the enterprise segment, Hewlett Packard Printing and Personal Systems Group India on Thursday launched its business tablet HP ElitePad 900 for the Indian market in Hyderabad.
The price of the 10.1-inch tablet starts from Rs 43,500. “We expect small office home office (SOHO) and SMBs segment to be key growth drivers for this product,” said Sunish Raghavan, head, commercial PC category, HP India.
With this launch, the PC major has set off a race among other players too to increase their revenues from the enterprise segment. Even Samsung recently announced its plans to have at least 10 per cent of its revenues coming from the enterprise segment by CY2014-end. Even Dell and Lenovo who launched their products recently are in the race to woo enterprises.
Positioning it as a business tablet, the company said its expansion jacket includes an integrated keyboard, connectivity ports, SD card reader and adjustable viewing angles.
