The latest update is currently being pushed to the Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus smartphones, and the company's Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets as an over-the-air (OTA) update. Google has also published the factory images of the 4.2.2 software for users to download.

Version 4.2.2 of the Jelly Bean platform is a minor update. Among the new features introduced include progress percentage and time indicators when downloading applications from the Google Play Store, the ability to long press on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi icons in the quick settings menu to use them as toggles, and new sounds for wireless charging and low battery notifications.

There is also longer vibrations for notifications and a new Gallery app animation. In addition, the latest Android update claims to address some minor bugs and performance issues.
