Samsung Galaxy S4
After recording huge sales in the year 2012 and winning legal battles against the Cupertino giant, Samsung is set to launch its next flagship phone in the S series, the Galaxy S4.The Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to feature a 5-inch OLED display, full LTE support and a very good 13 megapixel camera. It is also rumored to feature a 2.0 GHz quad-core processor and 3200 mAh battery and will be faster than the one used on the Nexus 10, as reported by Tech2. According to Gizbot the phone is expected to launch at the Mobile World Congress in February 2013. The bendable phones from the company are also rumored to debut this year, but S4 might not be a bendy phone.
BlackBerry 10
The BlackBerry 10 smartphone is going to be launched on 30th January 2013. According to the leaked images of the device the phone will be called ‘Phone Z10’. It has rounded edges and will sport a full-touch display screen dominating the handset on all sides excluding a space for the speaker on the top and a little space at the bottom. It has been rumored that the camera will be supported by a LED flash light and the connectivity options will be on the right side edge of the phone. There will be another camera to facilitate video conversations. This single-SIM phone will have space for a microSD card to expand memory. The battery will be a Lithium ion one of 1800 mAh capacity and will be thinner and longer.The phone will be available in black and white colors.
iPhone 5S
Like every year Apple is expected to come up with a new iPhone in its annual launch event in 2013. This phone which might be called the iPhone 5S according to the rumors, will feature a better screen, a faster A6X processor, a breathtaking 15 MP camera, and better battery life.Recent rumors also indicate that Apple might start with the trial production of iPhone 5S in December, and mass production of the phone might start in quarter 1 of the next year. Apple might be looking at a March launch of the new iPad, and the announcement of iPhone 5S might come in this event.
Sony Nexus
Not much has been rumored about this device, but it is expected that Sony will bring a new handset featuring the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie operating system.News which appeared in November in Techradar says “Android 5.0 has popped up on a benchmarking website, apparently running on a Sony-made smartphone… A benchmark result has appeared on the Nenamark site, claiming to show stats from a Sony LT30i – a relation to the Sony Xperia T – running Android 5.0.0.”
Sony Xperia Yuga (Xperia Z)
The Sony Yuga is going to be launched next year and will join the Xperia. The phone will be called Yuga and Xperia Z or Odin. According to the XperiaBlog “Sony C660X ‘Yuga’ will come to the market as the Sony Xperia Z we are hearing”. The report further says “Xperia Z will be both water and dust resistant supporting an Ingress Protection rating like the Xperia acro S and Xperia V. The Yuga is expected to sport a massive 5 inch display screen with a resolution of 443 pixels per inch. The phone will have the OptiContrast technology which is normally seen in Sony televisions. The phone is expected to be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor; it will run Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. It is also expected to have at least a 12 megapixels or higher camera.HTC M7
In recent past some information about this new 4.7 inch smartphone has leaked. The phone is rumored to run on a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor. It will sport a full HD 4.7-inch display screen with a pixel density of 468 pixels-per inch (ppi) says TomsHardware. This pixel density is much higher than sported by the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 has a resolution 326 ppi. According to news reports the company calls it the ultra high resolution SoLux display, which will be better than the previous super LCD2 displays for better visibility.This will be an Android phone and will be supported by a 2GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage and 13 megapixel camera. It is not yet clear whether this phone will have a slot for a microSD card. This smartphone will feature 4G LTE connectivity, and next-generation Wi-Fi.
It is expected to appear in the first quarter of 2013.
