Idea Cellular has launched yet another affordable entry-level Android based smartphone in the Indian market. The new device is dual-SIM 3G capable Android smartphone called the ID-918.

The ID-918 from Idea Cellular sports a 3.2-inch display with a 480×800 pixels resolution, the device runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and sports a 3.2 megapixel rear camera. The company has failed to mention the processor which will power the device but the price suggests that it could possibly include a 650MHz processor.

The Idea ID-918 us a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which includes FM radio, 150GB of built-in storage, expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD card, 512MB of RAM and 256MB ROM. It supports 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in regards to connectivity and includes a 1,300 mAh battery.

As a special introductory offer, Idea Cellular will offer data plans worth Rs. 2300 for both prepaid and postpaid users. This will include a Rs. 259 subscription for Idea TV, 2GB of free data per month and 10 minutes of talktime everyday, all of this will be valid for the first three months.

The ID-918 from Idea cellular is officially priced at Rs. 5,994 and is available at all major mobile retailers and Idea stores across India.
