Flipkart Lists HTC Desire Z for Rs. 25,799

The online books, music, mobiles, movies and entertainment goods retailer Flipkart has quietly listed the HTC Desire Z with Google Android 2.2 Froyo handset for India. The Desire Z also known as T-Mobile G2 in US is listed for Rs. 25,799 and Flipkart is taking pre-orders for the same. This Android based slide-out QWERTY revealing phone is said to arrive on January 3 as per Flipkart's listing.

HTC Desire Z has a 3.7-inches touchscreen supporting 480x800 pixel resolution. Under the hood it runs the 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 microprocessor along with 512MB RAM to power the Android 2.2 Froyo. The 5 megapixel camera comes with flash, auto-focus and face recognition. It's capable of recording 720p HD video as well.

The Desire Z promises 14.4Mbps download speed with HSPA+ network support and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. This Android phone has HTC Sense UI layered and can be used with the HTCsense.com web service. The phone also offers Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, FM Radio, A-GPS, Digital compass, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and has 3.5mm audio port.

By far, Desire Z appears to have the best physical QWERTY Android phone that also offers decent display.
