Lemon to Bring Low-cost 3G Phone in November

After introducing affordable dual-SIM touchscreen handset iT 717 recently, low-cost handset maker Lemon Mobiles has announced that it will bring inexpensive 3G enabled handsets for Indian masses starting next month.

The phone, dubbed W100 3G, will be priced at around Rs. 3,500. Some of its features include live TV, video calling on 3G network, browser, multimedia and dual camera.

"Though the 3G handset is attractively priced, its acceptance amongst our customers would also highly depend on the tariffs and pricing of 3G services," Fastrack Communications' (Lemon's parent company) director Sandeep Mushran said.

The 3G handset will be available pan India and the company said it is planning to launch Android phones after this 3G handset is unveiled. Telecom majors Vodafone and Airtel have both promised to bring 3G services in India by the first quarter of next year.
