India unveils Supercomputer 'Annapurna'

Breaking News! India took a step forward in science and technology with the launch of its latest supercomputer 'Annapurna' at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc) in Chennai.

Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) Chairman Srikumar Banerjee unveiled 'Annapurna' at a function at the IMSc today.

'Annapurna' supercomputer is India's third fastest high-performance computation (HPC) cluster. It has 1.5 Tera Byte (TB) memory and 30 TB storage space cluster capacity. It just ranks below the IISc, Bangalore and TIFR, Mumbai.
