BlackBerry 10.2 will support Android Jelly Bean apps
BlackBerry will be making a huge leap with the Android OS with the next update, 10.2. The new BB10 update will now allow users to download Android Jelly Bean apps and below onto their BlackBerry device.

The BlackBerry OS has the power to install and run Android applications, something both Windows and iOS have yet to try out. We suspect this was done to boost the BlackBerry app store, currently sitting at around 90,000 apps.

Currently BB10 can only run Android apps developed when Gingerbread was released or before and is missing out on some key apps like Vine, Instagram and others, although some social integration with LinkedIn and Foursquare has kept the BB10 world happy.

The BlackBerry 10.2 update is expected to arrive sometime this year, but we suspect it will be the end, sometime around September.
