LG to launch the L II series smartphones in India next month
Having announced the L II series at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress and following on the heels of the recently launched Optimus G, LG is reportedly planning to bring the L II series to India as early as the next month. In a chat with KnowYourMobileIndia, Steve Koh, Director of mobile communication at LG India has revealed that the Korean company will first bring the L3 II and the L7 II to the country, followed shortly by the L5 II.

The L II series of phones is the successor to the L-series and according to the company gives more importance to the design of the phone which is its most distinctive factor. In terms of specs, the L3 II will feature a 1,540mAh battery and the Optimus L5 II will come with a 4-inch WVGA display and 1,700mAh battery. The L7 II will come with features like an 8-megapixel rear camera, 4GB of internal memory and 768MB of RAM and features a 2,460mAh battery. It will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 processor.

There is currently no mention of price yet, but going by its predecessors’ success in the Indian market, there is a good chance that the L II series of phones will hold their own in this highly competitive smartphone market.
