This business tablet has got a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x800 pixels. Running on Windows 8 Pro, this tablet has a 1.8GHz Intel Atom dual core processor paired with 2GB RAM. It has an 8MP rear camera along with a 1080p front facing video camera.
Weighing 0.63 kg, the rugged HP ElitePad 900 is 9.2 mm thin. The tablet is available in two variants - 32GB and 64GB - with the former priced at Rs 43,500.
But what differentiates HP from other players is the ecosystem of accessories for enhancing productivity of the tablet.
The company has launched a couple of jackets, tablet pen and a docking station that are available as an option accessory that can be added to the ElitePad 900.
With no connectivity ports spotted on tablet, the Expansion Jacket adds a USB, HDMI and other connectivity to the tablet. It also has an integrated battery pack that enhances the overall battery backup to up to 19.5 hours and is priced at Rs 6,999.
The ElitePad docking station comprises a keyboard and monitor that brings a desktop like experience to the tablet. The dock charges the tablet and provides users with a secondary screen for multitasking. This docking station is available for Rs 9,999.
Another interesting accessory is the Executive Tablet Pen for Rs 3,499 that allows users to write messages and notes in their natural handwriting directly on the screen and then save or convert to typed text for use in other applications.
The Productivity Jacket converts the tablet into a proper laptop as it has an integrated keyboard, connectivity ports, SD card reader and adjustable viewing angles.
There is also a Rugged Case that provides military-grade reliability and protection to the ElitePad 900. These two are likely to be launched within next 15 days.
