Japanese electronics giant Sony has unveiled its flagship Android phone, Xperia Z. As widely speculated, the smartphone boasts of some top-of-the-line features like a 5-inch screen with 1080p resolution and a 13 MP camera.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean processor. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable upto 32GB with microSD card.
Xperia Z comes with Battery Stamina Mode, which according to the company improves standby time by four times or more by automatically shutting down battery-draining apps whenever the screen is off and starting them again once the screen is back on.
Connectivity options in the phone include Bluetooth, NFC and GPS.Sony Xperia Z has anti-shatter glass on front and back. The smartphone is IP55 and IP 57 certified, which means it's water and dust-resistant. According to the company, it can stay submerged in water for 30 minutes.
