We have yet to receive any official information regarding these systems by Microsoft or Sony, but today we have gained knowledge of a possible title being developed for the PS4 and Xbox 720.
From a job postings by United Front, the developers behind “Sleeping Dogs,” it appears that they are recruiting for network programmers for a next generation title. With the stunning success of “Sleeping Dogs,” it will come as no surprise if this next generation title is indeed the sequel to “Sleeping Dogs.”
From the information delivered through this job posting, United Front is looking for a network programmer to assist their online team in developing multiplayer features for their next generation console title. “The candidate must have solid C++ programming experience, understanding of network programming models, excellent communication ability, and a passion for creating world class online titles. The ideal candidate will also have been credited on several console titles, worked with multiplayer middleware packages, and have experience with state replication, interpolation, bandwidth optimization, and knowledge of common multiplayer features such as matchmaking, invites, game lobbies, leader boards, stats, etc.”
