Car maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor today launched limited editions of three of its models -- sedans Etios and Corolla Altis and sports utility vehicle Fortuner -- to boost sales during the festive season.

"Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced a line up of limited edition models for the festive season. The lineup has been specially introduced to bring in new product excitement during the festive season," the company said in a statement.

The new limited edition includes Etios TRD Sportivo, Corolla Altis and Fortuner TRD Sportivo, it added.

The company has launched the limited edition of Etios in both petrol and diesel options, priced at Rs 6.25 lakh and Rs 7.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.

"Only 1,200 exclusive units of the Limited Edition vehicle will be sold till the month of December 2012," the statement said.

TKM will also offer 500 exclusive units of its premium sedan Corolla Altis' limited edition in both petrol and diesel options, priced at Rs 11.51 lakh and Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively, it said.

Besides, the company will be selling 600 units of the limited edition of the SUV Fortuner and will be available December 2012.

"Available in 4x2 manual and automatic transmission, the vehicles are priced at Rs 21.76 lakh and Rs 22.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively," TKM said.

Last month, the company had launched the Innova Aero limited edition.

Commenting on the development, TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said: "We have introduced a whole new range of limited edition vehicles to provide our customers something new and trendy for the festive season. Limited units of these vehicles are on sale till December to provide exclusivity."

The beleaguered auto industry is pinning hopes on the festive season sales to bring the much-needed cheer and have lined up a series of new launches to woo customers in the coming days.

Besides TKM, Ford India also introduced new and upgraded variant of its small car Figo. The petrol option of the Figo starts at Rs 3.85 lakh, while the diesel one starts at Rs 4.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

This week, the domestic automobile market will see over half a dozen launches that include Maruti's new Alto, Tata Motors' Indigo Manza Club Class and Safari storme, Rexton from the stable of Mahindra & Mahindra's Korean arm Ssangyong.

Honda Cars India will also be introducing the automatic transmission version of its compact car Brio on October 18. This will be followed by the CNG version of the company's mid-sized sedan City later in the month.
