Nokia has launched the Asha 308 dual-SIM touch phone in India and is available from its online store at Rs. 5,865. The Asha 308 is the latest addition to Nokia's Asha Touch family of mobile devices.

Nokia had unveiled the Asha 308 last month along with a single-SIM variant called the Asha 309. The Nokia Asha 308 features a 3-inch capacitive display, a 2MP camera and microSD card slot. The phone runs on Nokia’s S40 full-touch interface. For connectivity, the device supports Bluetooth and EDGE/GPRS.

With the Asha 308, Nokia introduces two extensions to its cloud-based Xpress Browser platform. The new Nokia Nearby Web app shows search results on a map, to help discover new local places. The second, Nokia Life+, is available across 18 countries and provides access to education, health, and infotainment content.

Also, the Nokia Asha 308 comes with a fluid 'swipe' user interface and an open environment for third-party application development. We have seen the fluid ‘swipe’ interface before when Nokia unveiled the Asha 305 and the Asha 311.

The Nokia Asha 308 also come with the free gift of 40 premium EA games, and pre-loaded Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp apps. The device also features Nokia Messaging Service, and video streaming through the browser from sites like YouTube. Check out the full specifications of the Nokia Asha 308 here.
