Mobile giant Nokia has expanded its Asha series in the country with the launch of two new budget phones - Asha 311 and Asha 305.
Both the phones come with S40 Asha operating system and Nokia Browser 2.0. According to Nokia, Nokia Browser 2.0 reduces data consumption by up to 90 per cent, which means that consumers can enjoy faster and cheaper Net access without the need of a third-party browser.
Nokia Asha 311 is priced at Rs 7,139, while Asha 305 comes at a price tag of Rs 5,029. Weighing 95gm, Asha 311 sports a 3-inch scratch-resistant capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 400x240 pixels. The phone has an internal memory of 256MB, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. There is a 3.2 megapixel camera sans flash.
Dual-SIM Nokia Asha 305 sports a 3-inch resistive touch screen. It has an internal memory of 10MB, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Weighing 98gm, the phone has a 2 megapixel camera.
While Asha 305 is already available in the market, Asha 311 is expected to hit retail stores on August 12.
