Noida based Zync Global Pvt. Ltd. launched its new tablet PC, the Zync Z999 Plus today in the Indian markets at a price of
Rs. 11,990. Powering this 3G enabled tablet is a single core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor which runs Android 4.0 ICS. Zync has been consistently upgrading its models since the days of the Z909, the Z990 etc, witnessing a turnover of Rs 17 crore with around 100,000 tablet PC sales in the last fiscal year. The latest Zync Z-999 Plus features a 7 inch LED capacitive touchscreen supporting 800×480 pixel resolution, along with a 2 megapixel camera on the back and a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera. The 8GB internal flash memory is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card.
The company expects to sell close to half a million units this year, battling fiercely for the booming Indian tablet PC market against manufacturers like Micromax, iBerry and more, who have also made recent tablet PC launches primarily to attract student communities across the nation.
