Postal Stamp on Mahanati Savitri

Legendry actress, Mahanati Savitri is honoured with a postal stamp by Government of India. The stamp on Savitri was released on Sunday February 13th by Honorable Union cabinet Minister Gurudas Kamath at the India Post organized INDIPEX 2011,a World Philatelic Exhibition, Pragati Maidan New Delhi.

The Indian postal department has issued new stamps in the honor of few legendry actors and actresses including Nuthan, Meena Kumari, Leela Naidu, Devika Rani and Kannan Devi apart from Savitri.
