Transcend has announced a new addition of the JetFlash 700 flash drive to its USB 3.0 product portfolio. It is available in three capacities of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The price range varies from Rs. 1,300 to Rs. 5,600 and comes with lifetime warranty. The product is yet to hit the Indian markets.
The JetFlash 700 offers data transfer rates of up to 70MB/s. This is ten times more than the data transfer speed of USB 2.0 specifications. Users can download JetFlash Elite data management tools that will allow them to access their mails from any compatible computer.
USB 3.0 is expected to take off from its predecessor 2.0 and offers ease in managing HD videomusic, and digital imaging applications between devices. Energy conservation is its another aspect and not to forget speedy transfer rates.
