MSI's FX600MX laptop is sporting a new look to go along with the Nvidia new discrete graphics chip it will be featuring, the GeForce 310M.

This chip is able to boost battery life and increase performance when you need it. The GeForce 310M (512MB of memory) can automatically switch between integrated graphics for non-taxing computing task, and discrete graphics for gaming and 3D-oriented jobs. Alongside the 310M hardware the FX600MX will have an Intel Core i5 or i3 processor and can be configured with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory.

The base model comes standard with 320GB of hard drive space and can be configured to have up to 500GB. The FX600MX comes with all the right ports, including HDMI, VGA, two USB 2.0 ports, and eSATA/USB combo port, and a 4-in-1 card reader. It also comes with a DVD drive.

The FX600MX has a 15-inch LED widescreen that displays in 720p, so if you want to watch your digital media in full HD that HDMI port will come in handy hooking it up to your HDTV. The keyboard is in the chiclet style, each key an isolated square. MSI managed to even throw in a numeric keypad for number crunchers. The touchpad is multitouch, but isn't an all-in-one like the HP dv7-4183cl where the mouse button's are integrated into the touchpad. These are separated from the multitouchpad. The FX600MX, according to MSI, weighs 5.29 pounds with the 6-cell Li-Ion battery.
