Nokia has announced that its N8 smartphone will go on sale in Blighty on the 22nd October.
According to Nokia you will be able to get your paws on the N8 from the Carphone Warehouse, O2, Orange, Phones4u, T-Mobile, Tesco Phone Shops, Three Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Vodafone.
If you want it a bit earlier you can buy it from the Nokia website from 15 October. There will be the small matter of writing a £429 cheque if you want it SIM free.
Most of the stores will be offering the N8 on contract from £30 per month.
The Nokia N8 will come with exclusive content from Nokia's Ovi Store, including the BBC Iplayer, enabling users to catch up on the last seven days of BBC radio and television.
The N8 has a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash and can record HD quality videos, edit videos using a built-in editing suite and play them back with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound. It has a scratch resistant Gorilla Glass display and runs the Symbian3 OS.
It also has an ARM 11 680MHz processor, which is half the speed of some of its rivals, although that is helped by a 3D graphics hardware accelerator.
